Official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran

On April 9, 2014 President Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Islamic Republic of Iran on an official visit. Official welcoming ceremony for President Ilham Aliyev was held at the President's Palace in Tehran. Following the official welcoming ceremony, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani in an expanded format with the participation of delegations. After the one-to-one meeting, the ceremony of signing of Azerbaijani-Iranian documents was held with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Iran Hassan Rouhani. 

After the documents signing ceremony, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani made statements for the press.  

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani hosted an official reception in honour of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran, co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission Mahmoud Vaezi.

 President Ilham Aliyev met Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyid Ali Khamenei. 

The official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Islamic Republic of Iran ended on April 9, 2014.
