Khojaly genocide – tragedy of the XX century

Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran announces an academic essay contest on the topic

“Khojaly genocide – tragedy of the XX century”.

Contest rules:

-         Submitted essays should not have been previously published;

-         An essay may be submitted in Azerbaijani, English or Persian languages;

-         Essay should be written in font 14 Times New Roman (for Azerbaijani and English) and B Zar (for Persian), typed single space;

-         Essays submitted before or after the contest dates will not be considered;

-         Essays selected by the contest commission will be announced at the event dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy and organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran;

-         Essay winning the 1.place will be published in the journal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran;

-         The first three winners will be awarded special prizes by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran;

-         The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran will send a gratitude letter for their participation to the organization (university, research center, etc. ) the winning authors represent;     

-         Essays should be sent to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran via e-mail (e-mail: a.sh.yagubova@gmail.com) from January 25 to February 20, 2015.

-         Contact details of an author (full name, profession, institution/university/research center, phone, e-mail) should be sent to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran along with an essay.
